Workflow tool for archaeological experiments and analytics

Institution

At first use, the user will be asked if he/she is an “individual” or affiliated with some “institution.” If the latter, the user is invited to enter some of the following information for identification purposes:

  • Name
  • Type
  • Activity Area
  • Street
  • City
  • Country
  • Postal Code
  • Email
  • Web Page
  • Comment

The “name” will be the only mandatory entry. “Type” should be something like “museum,” “society” (“Verein”), “club,” “research facility,” “university department,” etc.

“Activity Area” is still a temporary name (not to be confused with the use of “Activity Area” on the other resources). The user is invited to identify any number of types activities the institute engages in:

  • Experiments
  • Observations
  • Measurements
  • Reconstructions
  • Replication
  • Re-enactment

Identifying “activity type” reduces some of the choices (and clutter) elsewhere: the menu for someone engaged only in replication or re-enactment would no longer no longer show the buttons for (formal) “experiments” or “observations,” for example.

There does not seem to be any need to photograph the institution.
