References

The "references" page is intended to provide links to publications reporting on previous experiments and, eventually, other experiment designs prepared by the workflow tool itself and archived somewhere. References can also be to artifacts that are being replicated (museum catalogues and the like), maps, reports of historical events to be reenacted, etc.

We are looking at ways to store a bibliography of published reports on archaeological experiments. At present we are exploring the possibility of importing an existing list developed for EXARC and stored on tDAR, and updating that to include links to the publications themselves (where available). As a subsequent step, we would like to use the resources available within the NFDI consortium to mine the data stored in those reports (where available) to make queries more useful to prospective users. Experiments recorded using this workflow tool would also, ideally, be entered into this list. This should make it easier to discuss, repeat and modify specific experiments.
